Introduction:
Phil brings both coaching & competition experience to the middle distance section of the Club and the athletes he coaches have achieved National recognition. Phil performed at the highest level as a junior athlete and still holds several of the Clubs middle distance records from the late 1970's.

As a former English Schools track champion Phil has been able to apply this experience to his coaching and he has the distinction of repeating this achievement by coaching Sam Dykes to the 2008 English Schools 800m title and Harry Ellis to the UK Schools 1500m title. Phil has also coached athletes in his group to international selection.

Phil is always happy to discuss athletic issues with other club coaches and as a member of the England Athletics coaching network he regularly exchanges thoughts and ideas with coaching colleagues from other clubs.

Phil was voted Warrington Guardians Coach of the Year for his achievements with Warrington Athletic Club in 2007. Awarded Warrington AC Coach of the year 2009. Phil is the Club's website editor.
