Sale Harriers Open Indoor Meeting Sportcity Saturday 10th March 2019

Thirteen Warrington Athletic Club athletes travelled to Sportcity Manchester on Sunday 10th March for the Sale Harriers Open Indoor Meeting and produced a huge raft of indoor personal best performances some of which will go onto the Club Indoor Records lists.
In the 60 metres hurdles series Meg Corker won her race in 8.95 seconds setting a new personal best time and new club under 15 record.Also at under 15 Lisa Halliday set a new best time of 11.06 seconds as she finished in 5th place and under 20 Rebecca Hardy also seta new best time of 9.73 seconds winning her race.
In the 60 metres series Meg Corker set her second new best time and club record as she won her race in 8.04 seconds.Not to be outdone her dad Paul finished 5th in his race with a time of 8.62 seconds to remove Neal Petley’s club record set just one day ago in the British Masters Championships.In the Senior men’s David Cooper ran a new best time of 7.70 seconds in his first race and recorded 7.78 seconds in his second race finishing 5th in both.Personal bests were also recorded over the distance by under 15 Ellie-Ann Tuitt-Williams 2nd in 8.64 seconds under 17 Gus Schofield 5th in 8.30 seconds and Lisa Halliday 5th in 9.23 seconds.Rebecca Hardy was 4th in 8.54 seconds ,under 15 Evie Schofield 2nd in 8.88 seconds and under 15 Sophia Rowlinson 4th in 9.07 seconds with all three being just outside their best times.
In the 300 metres series Dominic Ellis won his race in 40.32 seconds a new best time while under 17 Ellen Turnbull was 4th in 52.54 seconds,Ellie-Ann Tuitt-Williams won in 47.51 seconds and under 15’s Shauna Clarke and Georgia Smethurst were both 3rd in 51.83 seconds and 49.58 seconds respectively with only Shauna who was close to her best time missing out on personal best times.
In the High Jump Gus and Evie Schofield recorded new indoor bests with Gus 11th in his mixed age competition with a jump of 1.50 metres.In her mixed age competition Evie cleared a new best of 1.25 metres.
