Manchester Area Cross Country League Saturday 8th February 2020 Heaton Park Manchester

The final round of the Manchester Area Cross Country League took place in Heaton Park Manchester on Saturday 8th February.
In the under 15 girls race Orla Gregory ran well to finish in 2nd place in 19 minutes 19 seconds and made her the overall League Champion defending the title that she won last season.behind Orla Lucie Davies finished 9th in 21 minutes 16 seconds placing her 10th overall and Molly Wormald finished in 29th place in 23 minutes 42 seconds and 20th overall.The team finished in 3rd place on the day on 40 points and also took the third place over the series.
In the under 11 girls Ellie Barker ran well finishing 6th in 12 minutes 04 seconds and along with Sinead Gregory 15th in 12.49 and Iris Hurst 22nd in 13.21 the team finished in 4th place on 43 points.Cara Gregory and Brooke Watson finished 29th and 41st in 13.37 and 14.11 respectively.Overall Ellie finished 9th ,Sinead 19th,Brooke 35th equal and Natasha Andrews who did not run the final race was 54th.The team finished in 5th place in the series.
In the under 13 girls Imogen Wharton ran well to finish in 6th place in 13.47 and with Alice Nicholson 13th in 14.12 and Nia Wharton 25th in 14.54 the team finished 5th on the day with 44 points.Evie Owen finished in 53rd place in 16.26.Overall Imogen finished in 7th place and her twin Nia finished 14th equal.
In the under 17 women Faye Humphreys finished in 17th place in 37 .11 and in the Senior/under20 women Rachel McQuillan finished 28th overall in 37.56 placing her 2nd under 20 and Faye Lawton was 77th in 41.31 placing her 31st in the 20-34 age group.In the series Faye Lawton finished 17th in her age group and 51st woman overall.
In the under 11 boys race Spencer Astbury ran well to finish in 15th place in 11.58 and Dylan Langley was 30th in 13.01.overall in the series Spencer finished in 18th place and Dylan 38th.
In the under 13 boys Rory Gregory finished 16th in 13.28 and Jacob Pryor was 20th in 13.44.Jacob finished 12th in the series overall.
In the Senior /under 20 men David Watson finished 36th overall in 36.56 and placed 3rd in the over 45 age group.Daniel Newman finished 151st overall in 41.47 placing 11th over 50.In the series David was 14th overall man and this won him the title in the over 45 age group.Daniel placed 80th overall in the series and was 7th in the over 50 age group.
